Settings and Data
The Settings tab collects appearance, the Tavern asset library, preferences, and data management. This guide explains each section and what it does.
Appearance and themes
- 5 built-in themes plus your sideloaded custom themes all appear in the theme picker, and tapping one applies it globally.
- A custom theme is a
.fvtheme.jsonfile. Format details are in the Theme format spec; the easiest approach is to have Agent generate it directly. - The Reader has separate themes (paper white / night / parchment, and so on) in Reader settings, independent from the app theme.
Tavern asset library
All SillyTavern assets you've imported are managed by type, with a list and detail page for each:
| Type | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Character cards | View all fields, edit, export, and start chat directly from a card |
| Worldbooks | View and edit entries one by one, bind them to worlds or chats |
| Prompt presets | View preset content and injection-order summary |
| Regex scripts | View/toggle, with display layer and prompt-feed layer separated |
| Quick Reply | Manage button groups, including STscript content |
| Persona | Add, delete, and edit your identity cards |
| Attachments / render profiles | Chat attachments and WebView render compatibility profiles |
The "Global asset library" also collects generated images / audio / video for cross-book and cross-card search.
Tavern preferences
- Global defaults for Tavern behavior: rich rendering toggle, default automation mode, context budget, and more. Each card can override them under "Current character settings".
- "Migrate from SillyTavern" wizard: step-by-step guidance for moving a desktop Tavern data set into Foreverse.
Data and account
- Local-first: books, cards, and chat history are stored on device first. AI calls send only the context you selected to the provider you chose.
- Export: chat history can be exported by session; Companion has a one-tap move-out package; character cards can be exported in their original format.
- Delete: account deletion is available in Settings and at the public web path, with no need to contact support.
- The changelog is at the bottom of Settings, with a version-by-version record of what changed.
