Worlds and Library

Updated · 2026-07-07Public document

The Worlds tab is the entry point for everything: every book, character card, and standalone worldbook is a "world", shown on your library shelf as a cover grid. This guide covers import, management, and the world detail page.

Import (top-right "+")

FileAfter importNotes
txtNovel worldAutomatically detects numeric/Chinese chapter headings; books without chapters are split by length
epubNovel worldKeeps the original book table of contents
PNG / JSON character cardCharacter-card worldV1/V2/V3 compatible; greeting, embedded worldbook, and regex take effect with the card
.charx (V3 zip)Character-card worldAvatar, expression sprites, immersive background, and other assets import together
Worldbook JSONStandalone worldbookNo character attached; can be applied to any chat
Group chat JSONGroup chatMember cards must already be in the library; missing members are listed

There is no import count limit. We validated long novels with 1139 chapters and batch import of 34 community cards on emulator.

Library management

  • Filter chips: All / Reading / Novels / Character cards / Worldbooks, with count badges.
  • Search: search by book title / card name; view switch: grid ↔ list.
  • Reading progress: "chapters read / total chapters" appears under the cover; currently reading books show a progress ring.
  • When the "● 1 Agent" floating badge appears in the lower-right of the library, an Agent task is running in the background. Tap it to return directly to the task.

Three tabs on world details

Tap any cover to enter world details. The top shows cover + primary action (Continue reading / Start chat / Apply to chat), followed by three tabs:

  • Branches (shown as "Openings" for character cards): every story line for this book. Body text is always at the top; each AI branch shows the source chapter where it forked. Tap any branch to enter reading; "+ New branch" starts another route from the current progress. For character cards, this lists the default greeting and alternate greetings.
  • Characters: characters appearing in this world. Each character can "start chat" in one tap, opening a roleplay chat using this book's setting and that character.
  • Worldbook: setting entries bound to this world, with per-entry toggles; constant entries are marked "constant injection". Writing and troubleshooting are covered in the Worldbook spec.

Create an original world

From "+", you can also create a blank world without importing a file: name it, write a short description, then start writing from chapter one in the Reader, or ask Agent to generate the opening from your setting. Original worlds have the same capabilities as imported worlds.
