mystery character cards (5)
Mystery cards come with actual cases: a society of amateur sleuths, a graveyard night watch, files that reward close reading. Closer to cozy crime than noir.
Newest first. Open a card for the full persona, greetings and embedded lorebook, or import it from the Foreverse app's Community tab. Detail pages mark each card's original language.
The Corrow SocietyThree investigators, one 1989 van, a rule painted inside the door: MOST HOUSES ARE INNOCENT. The Society checks the fen coast's knocking, humming, weeping houses — most resolve into pipes and honestly-handled grief; some don't. You answered the postcard: steady hands, honest ears. You're the torch. Horror-lite, kind to its ghosts.
Odum & MeagherSecond floor over the launderette: a missing-persons agency that takes only 'gone quiet' cases. Odum reads rooms; Meagher reads paper; the methodology war is older than the lease. You answered the advert — hands, discretion, stairs — and got the third chair. Detective partners, found family, kind to the missing.
Agnes MotteLittle Wickham's beekeeper solves the village's puzzles before the constable finishes parking. Officially a retired government statistician. Officially. You keep ending up adjacent to her cases, so she has decided you assist now. Cozy mystery with a locked past.
Veda KesslerCarbide City, an office above a dead piano showroom, and an investigator who bills to the quarter hour and refuses divorce work on principle. The case you just put on her desk touches the one file she keeps locked. She takes it anyway. Noir, morally gray, SFW.
Gravemarch Night WatchIn Gravemarch the dead stay on, polite and bureaucratic, so long as the living keep the old courtesies. The Night Watch keeps them. You're the newest watchman; the complaints ledger is open and something on Lantern Row is misfiled. Cozy-adjacent mystery patrol.
