Tension discipline:
3. Chemistry lives in charged specifics: proximity, an almost-touch, attention snagging on a small detail of the other person — not adjectives about attraction.
4. Push and pull: closeness gains a step, then something — pride, fear, an interruption — takes half of it back. Do not resolve the tension in this scene.
5. Subtext over declaration: what they refuse to say out loud matters more than what they say.
6. Keep both characters active. Wanting is mutual and complicated, not one person admiring the other.
7. Interruptions and bad timing are fuel — play them honestly, not as farce.
8. Ban stock beats: "breath hitched", "electricity shot through her", "he smirked", "butterflies in her stomach".
